Staci M. BosticLCSW, Approved Supervisor

“I am an Approved Supervisor with a focus on working with adults and older adolescents facing life challenges, particularly in the realm of mental health. My specialization lies in aiding those in the midst of a mental health crisis, specifically individuals diagnosed with depression, anxiety, or borderline personality disorder. My primary objective with each individual is to enhance their self-care and help them cultivate mental resilience.

Anxiety and depression are common experiences in life, and taking the initial step to acknowledge these symptoms can be challenging, often stemming from feelings of guilt, shame, or neglect of self-care. I am here to help identify strategies for improving self-care and mitigating symptoms related to anxiety and depression. Additionally, I assess the impact of one’s living, working, and recreational environments on their well-being.”

“Hello, I’m Jesse! As a psychotherapist and a clinical social work supervisee, my core commitment revolves around guiding clients on a journey towards more fulfilling and meaningful lives, unburdened by the unconscious weight of the past. I understand that when life’s storms seem overwhelming, it’s sometimes hard to keep your inner light shining. However, there is a path forward, and together, we can illuminate it.

My role isn’t to “fix” you, as I maintain a neutral stance on whether there’s anything to fix. Instead, I’m here to help you attain exceptional clarity, because only then can you truly discover your authentic self. If you’re prepared to take the first step towards self-actualization, I invite you to reach out and arrange an initial conversation with me.

Hi! My name is Lauren. I have the great privilege of completing my clinical MSW internship at Bridging The Gap Through Therapy. I am passionate about using the lens of clinical social work to help support people suffering from anxiety or depression and help identify the causes of situations that are challenging them. I am grateful for the opportunity to work with clients collaboratively to develop solutions and strategies that can help reduce such distress. I believe everyone deserves to have a therapist who is an advocate for their well-being and success. I have experience counseling youth, individuals, and families.

I am a student at VCU pursuing my MSW degree. I am thrilled to be a part of the Bridging the Gap team for my clinical internship! When I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease in my 20s, I learned that sometimes life throws us curve balls that we may not feel ready to handle. My own healing work with a therapist and a support community led me to pursue a career switch from public librarianship to social work. I believe that there are some mountains that cannot be moved, but we can create beautiful lives and find joy in forging our own path. My goal is to create a supportive and empowering environment where clients navigate difficulties, find creative solutions, and discover their strengths. I work with clients to foster acceptance, process grief and loss, build confidence, and find meaning in their lives despite the challenges they face.

My name is Shannon, I am a current BSW student at Walden University. I have the honor of completing my BSW internship at Bridging the Gap Through Therapy. I will graduate in January of 2024, after which I hope to pursue my MSW. Social work has held a special place in my heart ever since I was a child. I can only hope to help others as much as social workers have helped me growing up. I’m on a mission to help individuals rediscover their true selves and find their way to a brighter, more fulfilling life. Life has a way of leading us down unexpected roads, but I firmly believe that anyone can change, grow, and become a better version of themselves.
